Comeback Community: Meet Wendy!

There are some people who show up for rescue in so many different ways that it's hard to fit everything they do into one post. Wendy is one of those people.

She helps transport our dogs, serves on our adoptions team, and is one of our incredible Doggy Day Out volunteers.

Our Doggy Day Out program is especially important for our boarded dogs because it gives them increased exposure to potential adopters while also giving us a chance to learn even more about who they are outside of their everyday environment. Every outing means new photos, new experiences, new people seeing them — and another opportunity for the right person to fall in love.

And Wendy is GOOD with dogs. They gravitate toward her. She has a calm, natural way with them and a special ability to bring out their very best.

For a foster-based rescue like ours, volunteers who are willing to jump in wherever they're needed are invaluable. Wendy has done exactly that, over and over again.

We are so grateful for the time, energy and heart she gives to The Comeback Pack and, most importantly, to our dogs.
