Every dog has a story

    Sadie

Sadie is about 1½ years old, a petite 40 to 50 pound plott hound or pittie mix who is sweet, gentle, bubbly and easygoing. She's house trained and crate trained, fantastic with other dogs, cats and even little kids, and a gentle follower who can be shy at first but badly wants to join the fun. The Comeback Pack rescued her with her kennel mate, Sir William Flufflebutt, after watching her wait at the shelter for months.

    Their Journey So Far

    1. Our Shy Little Social Butterfly

      October 31, 2026

Sadie, our shy little social butterfly! Sadie is the kind of dog who just fits right into the family! She's sweet, gentle, bubbly, and wonderfully easygoing. She's about 1½ years old, possibly a plott hound or pittie mix, and a petite 40 to 50 pounds. She's already house trained and crate trained! She's fantastic with other dogs, cats, and even little kids, including toddlers! She's shared kennels with several different dogs and has proven to be quite the social butterfly. She's more of a follower than a leader, with a gentle play style and a love for being part of the dog gang. She can be a little shy at first, but you can practically see how badly she wants to join the fun. Give her a little time, and that happy, adorable personality comes shining through! We've been in love with Sadie since her picture first appeared on the shelter website. We watched as days turned into weeks, then months, and somehow this beautiful girl was still waiting. We couldn't let time become her enemy, so we rescued her along with her kennel mate, Sir William Flufflebutt (Bill to his friends). We can't imagine anyone meeting this sweet girl and not falling completely in love. Just look at that smile!

    2. Snuggled Up With Her Foster Sister

      November 1, 2026

If a picture is worth a thousand words, this one tells you everything you need to know about Sadie. Here she is, snuggled up with her foster sister, just being her sweet, gentle self. Sadie is one of our newest rescues, and we genuinely don't have a single bad thing to say about this girl. She's toddler friendly, kid friendly, dog friendly, AND cat friendly. She's affectionate, easygoing, and just has the most beautiful, gentle spirit. Some dogs are just extra special, and Sadie is one of them. We think this photo captures her whole personality perfectly. Now she just needs a family of her own to love.

    3. Struggling to Adjust to Foster Life

      November 4, 2026

Please respect Sadie's privacy during this difficult transition. As you can see, she's really struggling to adjust to foster life. The couch is too soft, the blankets are too cozy, and the belly rubs are absolutely relentless. It's a lot. We're hopeful she'll pull through. In all seriousness, this sweet, gentle, ridiculously lovable girl is available for adoption! She's wonderful with kids, dogs, and cats, and she's ready to bring this level of relaxation to your couch.

    4. Ginger and Sadie, Zero Applications

      November 5, 2026

Some of the sweetest dogs are the ones who don't know how to ask for attention. Meet Ginger and Sadie. These beautiful girls are a little shy, and in an overcrowded shelter, that meant they faded into the background. But we saw past their shyness, took a chance on them, and oh my goodness, were we right! These girls are absolute gems: sweet, gentle, loving, and so incredibly deserving of wonderful homes. They're house trained, crate trained, toddler friendly, dog friendly, cat friendly, and 100% certified sweethearts. Both girls are in foster care, waiting for someone to choose them. All they need is someone willing to give them a little time to warm up. And trust us, if you can give them a little patience in the beginning, they'll make the rest easy for you. Before you know it, you'll be head over heels wondering how you ever lived without them.
