Their Journey So Far

1. Meet Fawn

   August 26, 2026

   With those enormous satellite ears, her beautiful Zorro mask, and the gentlest eyes, Fawn looks a little more like a baby deer than a puppy — and somehow, her personality is even sweeter than her face. She was born around May 15, 2026, and despite her rough beginning she is loving, gentle, friendly, and incredibly sweet. She can be just a tiny bit shy when she first meets you, but it doesn't take long for her to warm up and show you what a wonderful little girl she is. We expect Fawn to grow into a medium-sized dog. She would do wonderfully with other dogs, cats, or kids, but she'd also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only — what matters most to her is having people who make her feel loved and safe. Because she's still a young puppy, we'd love to see her in a home where someone is around most of the time to keep teaching her the ropes: potty training, household manners, and everything else that comes with learning how to be a very good girl. Fawn's beginning may have been uncertain, but that's behind her now. She's safe, she's loved, and she's ready for the one thing every puppy deserves: a family who looks at those ridiculous ears and those gentle eyes and says, "She's the one." Huge thanks to July Baily and Alex for opening their home and hearts to this precious girl. And no, they will not be foster failing. Don't even mention it.

   

2. Her First Treat from a New Friend

   August 28, 2026

   Sometimes the smallest moments say the most. Fawn took a treat from one of her foster family's little boys for the first time this week — and watching the two of them together says everything about why this foster home has been so good for her. He approached her slowly and gently, no grabbing, no rushing; she took it just as carefully, mindful not to nip his fingers. Two babies, each looking out for the other. 3. Thriving in Her Foster Home

   August 31, 2026

   How has no one scooped up Fawn yet? This sweet little girl is absolutely thriving. She gets along amazingly with other dogs, and she's gentle and sweet with toddlers — playful, affectionate, and an all-around lovely puppy. Thanks to her foster mom she's now crate trained and well on her way to mastering potty training, learning all the things she needs to know to be an incredible family dog. Fawn is ready to take everything she's learned and bring it to a family of her very own.

   

4. Spay Day

   September 4, 2026

   Fawn and Pretty may look a little pitiful today, but these two girls just got one of the greatest gifts we can give them. They were both spayed today, which means Fawn can head into her next chapter without ever having to worry about pregnancy or unwanted litters. Just a carefree life filled with a family who loves her, adventures, belly rubs, and all the good stuff she deserves. This is such an important part of rescue, and your support is what makes it possible. 5. Adopted!

   September 6, 2026

   Fawn is adopted! This one is extra special. Our amazing foster, July, and her family didn't just give Fawn a safe place to land. They helped this shy little girl build her confidence, learn that the world isn't so scary, and become the sweet, happy puppy we knew was in there all along. And then they went one step further: they helped her find the perfect family. The best part? Fawn's new family is related to her foster family, which means this isn't really goodbye. There will be visits, updates, and plenty of chances for July and her family to watch the little girl they helped blossom continue to grow. This is exactly the kind of happy ending we hope for when a dog comes into our care: a wonderful foster, a perfect forever family, and a whole lot of people who love her. Happy Comeback, sweet Fawn.
