Good News for Doris and Maple — Wizard and Lexi Still Need You

Two updates this week, and they couldn't be more different.

Doris and Maple: We're actively working with the shelter on an exit strategy for these two girls, and we feel confident saying it — they're going to make it out. We also want to thank AFV, who's facing serious overcrowding right now but has still been incredibly helpful and responsive every time we've tried to save a dog. When shelters and rescues work together, dogs win. We're working on the plan, but we still need a foster for Doris and Maple.

Wizard and Lexi: This one is much harder. We still have not received a single foster offer for either of them. The property they were living on has been sold, the people are gone, and one of the three dogs who was there has already disappeared — we don't know what happened to him. We desperately want to get Wizard and Lexi to safety, but we can't bring them into our rescue without somewhere for them to go, and we don't know how much longer they'll survive out there. Please keep sharing, even if you already shared yesterday. They don't have to be fostered together — we just need two safe places to get them off that property.

If you can help with a foster home for any of these four dogs, please apply at thecomebackpack.org.
