Parton My Sass
Parton My Sass is an outgoing, confident and unbelievably affectionate puppy of about 12 weeks, believed to be a Dutch Shepherd mix with an estimated adult weight around 50 pounds. She and her brother, Willie Good Time, were found abandoned and struggling to survive, and Rovers Return Dog Rescue trapped them and brought them to The Comeback Pack. They were the skinniest puppies we had ever seen, but they went straight to the vet and are gaining weight like champs. Parton is good with kids, dogs and cats, and she has now been adopted.

Meet Parton My Sass
October 12, 2026The second of our two little fighters is Parton My Sass. Yesterday, we shared the heartbreaking story of two tiny puppies who had been dumped and left to starve, and today they're officially part of The Comeback Pack! An enormous thank you to Rovers Return Dog Rescue for trapping them, getting them to safety, and bringing them to us. They went straight to the veterinarian, they're severely emaciated, and we have to be extremely careful about how we reintroduce food and water. We're still waiting on some test results and they're quarantining, but things are looking really promising and we're cautiously optimistic. Parton My Sass and Willie Good Time were thrown away like they didn't matter. We're going to spend every day showing them just how much they do.
Clear Labs, Gaining Weight, Ready to Foster
October 15, 2026We couldn't let another day go by without sharing these newest photos of our two little survivors! They're so excited, friendly, and wiggly that getting them to sit still long enough for a photo is practically impossible. For those following their story, these are the two emaciated puppies rescued by The Comeback Pack and Rovers Return after being dumped and left to starve. And we have some really good news! They're doing incredibly well, better than we even expected. Their lab results came back clear. They're already putting on a little weight. They're absolutely full of kisses and tail wags. These babies were truly on the brink of death. But then there's the other part: the people who stepped up to save them. The strangers who donated. The hundreds of people cheering them on and genuinely caring about two little puppies they've never even met. That is the part that restores our faith in humanity. Foster update! These two will be ready for a new foster home this weekend. They need to stay together because they're still so young, and we're looking for someone local to Murrieta or Temecula so we can continue monitoring their recovery. They need no specialized care, just small, frequent meals to help them gain weight. Thank you for loving these babies right alongside us. Their comeback is just getting started!
From Left to Die to Living Their Best Puppy Lives
November 4, 2026From left to die to living their best puppy lives! Parton My Sass and Willie Good Time were rescued after being left to die, but those days are officially behind them. After completing their quarantine and receiving all their veterinary care, these babies are now healthy, happy, thriving puppies. They've also been lucky enough to grow up in an amazing foster home, where they've been showered with love and given every opportunity to become well-rounded, confident little dogs. And now they're ready for families of their very own! Both are absolutely awesome puppies, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for them.
Parton My Sass Has Been Adopted
November 4, 2026Parton My Sass has been adopted! Not long ago, this very special little girl and her brother, Willie Good Time, were found dumped, starving, and on the brink of death. We truly believe they wouldn't have survived another few days out there. But help arrived just in time. We got them the veterinary care they desperately needed and placed them in a wonderful, loving foster home where they were nursed back to health, socialized, and given the kind of start in life every puppy deserves. This is the difference foster homes make. Fostering literally saves lives. These two puppies went from barely surviving to happy, healthy, well-rounded little dogs with bright futures ahead of them. And now we get to send our sweet Parton, aka Dolly, off to her forever family, where she will be loved and cherished for the rest of her life. We couldn't be happier for you, little girl. You did it! You hung on just long enough for help to arrive. And now you get to live your happily ever after. Of course, this story isn't quite finished! Parton's brother, Willie Good Time, is still waiting for his family! He's every bit as deserving, incredibly sweet and affectionate, and so ready to meet you. Let's get Willie his happy ending, too!
