Every dog has a story
Gargoyle
Gargoyle is a brindle and white French Bulldog mix who spent time at the shelter suffering from painful skin infections. The Comeback Pack got him out, and his first vet visit found multiple skin and ear infections, all fixable, with treatment now underway in his foster home. Also known as Goyle, he loves kids, is crate trained, and is stealing hearts everywhere he goes.
Their Journey So Far
Gargoyle Is Safe
September 28, 2026Gargoyle is safe. The shelter's plea for this sweet little guy described painful skin infections he needed out of there to treat. Today, we were able to make that happen. A huge thank you to Jenn and Sandy for stepping up and being his angels exactly when he needed them most — because of them, Gargoyle is officially out of the shelter and on his way to getting the care he deserves. Next stop: the vet, where we'll find out exactly what's going on with his skin, get him comfortable, and get him started on treatment. We'll keep everyone updated on his progress. Here's to the beginning of your comeback, Gargoyle.
Gargoyle Update
October 4, 2026Our sweet Gargoyle (also known as Goyle, and formerly Yoda) has officially been to the vet, and our little mythical creature came to us with some gnarly skin issues. He's dealing with multiple infections, including skin and ear infections, but the good news is that it's all fixable. With treatment underway, Goyle is already on his way to feeling like a brand-new mythical guardian ready to ward off evil. In the meantime, he's doing what Gargoyle does best: stealing hearts everywhere he goes. We're also learning more about him. This sweet boy loves kids and he's crate trained. For now, his job is to heal, get comfortable, and soak up all the love he's been missing. A huge thank you to the guardians of our little guardian, foster mom Sandy and her family, who have opened their home and hearts to Goyle while he heals. Keep your eyes peeled for more Goyle updates, including the big announcement when he's officially ready for adoption. His comeback is underway.
We Can Hardly Believe This Is the Same Dog
October 18, 2026We can hardly believe this is the same dog! Have we mentioned lately that we have the absolute best fosters? Sandy, Jenn, and their wonderful family have been nursing Gargoyle back to health, and just look at this transformation! This little guy came to us with some pretty nasty skin and ear infections, but thanks to lots of love, patience, and proper medical care, he's looking and feeling like a whole new dog! And his personality? Oh my goodness. He's sweet, silly, affectionate, and just an absolute delight. Gargoyle will be getting neutered soon, and then he'll officially be ready for adoption! Stay tuned, because this handsome little goofball is going to make one lucky family very happy.
Happy Friday From Gargoyle
October 30, 2026Remember Gargoyle, formerly Yoda from AFV? Just look at this boy enjoying life in his foster home! Gargoyle is still receiving veterinary care, but as you can see, he's feeling SO much better! It's amazing what a little time, love, and proper medical care can do. A huge thank you to his wonderful foster family for taking on this very worthy project dog and giving him the love and care he deserves. We absolutely ADORE our medical fosters! They take on some of our toughest cases and help turn them into the happiest comeback stories. We're so grateful for them! Happy Friday from one very loved, very lucky Gargoyle!
